Parking Panda is a young and rapidly growing startup with a vision for making parking painless and inexpensive. Our goal is to bring ease and efficiency the parking industry. Our product is an online marketplace and optimization platform for parking. It enables parking owners and mangers (private and commercial) to capitalize on their parking inventory by driving extra traffic when yield is low and improving pricing when the lot is full. People in need of parking can save money and time by finding a place to park and paying right from their mobile phone or reserving a space in advance on the web.

Parking Panda was founded in 2011 and is backed by a group of awesome entrepreneurs and angels. Our team is young, passionate, and excited about building something that will change an industry. We work out of our office in the Federal Hill neighborhood of Baltimore and from an awesome shared space in the heart of New York City. Account Representative (Inside Sales)

Parking Panda is seeking a highly motivated, intelligent, and talented sales professional to join the team. You'll spend your day developing relationships with garages and local partners—building the inventory that fuels Parking Panda’s growth.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and develop new partnership prospects.
  • Create and execute compelling presentations to bring on new partners.
  • Contact and close lasting and productive partners.

Requirements

  • 2+ years sales or business development experience strongly preferred.
  • 1+ years of proven success in a competitive sales environment.
  • Strong experience selling over the phone and cold calling.
  • Relentless pursuit of sales goals and a penchant for crushing them.
  • Expert communication and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to a new environment and thrive under pressure.

C# / SQL Developer

You have a passion for solving big problems and building products that will reach millions of people. We are looking for a well rounded person to join our team that is comfortable building both internal and external APIs for both our website and our partners. At the same time you should value an elegant UI and streamlined UX for your users and build with that in mind. Knowledge of data analytics and solving big problems using data is also a major plus. We don't care about your formal education as long as you can impress us with something you've built and you have a great personality.

Community Manager

You are a highly motivated, intelligent, and outgoing person passionate about our company’s goals with a knack for online and offline community outreach that drives significant new user acquisition and impresses existing customers to keep them coming back. This is an entry level position with great opportunities for growth within the company as you will be required to learn the full spectrum of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot customer issues
  • Communicate with customers and operators daily online, through email, and over the phone
  • Assist operators and partners
  • Assist the Director of Marketing to build the Parking Panda brand in new markets
  • Manage current marketing in new and existing markets
  • Drive customer acquisition and retention on both a national and city-wide level
  • Clearing ticket queues

Requirements

  • A driven self-starter with an ability to work effectively, as well as independently. You will be able to recruit and lead a team as the company continues to grow.
  • Excellent people skills
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt, and wear a variety of hats while growing into a leadership role
  • Expert oral and written communication skills, highly organized, with a keen attention to detail

Marketing (Internship)

The marketing intern should be a college student or recent graduate. In this position you will work closely with the CEO and Marketing Manager to help implement strategic local and digital marketing initiatives. You will have the opportunity to learn SEO, SEM, and local marketing strategies. You will be actively involved in content creation, social media management, and organizing local outreach efforts. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a young and rapidly growing startup. Possibility (but by no means guarantee) for full-time employment after the internship for the appropriate candidate(s).

Mobile Engineer (iOS and Android)

Parking Panda is seeking an experienced mobile developer (iOS and Android) to join our engineering team and lead development of our consumer facing mobile applications. You should be passionate about using mobile to improve the consumer experience around parking, comfortable leading mobile development decisions alongside our CTO, and ready to work in a small and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of our iOS and Android applications
  • Play a key role in product development and shaping the Parking Panda feature set
  • Use knowledge of mobile platforms to help guide design and engineering decisions’

Requirements

  • Fluency in Objective-C
  • Software development experience, ideally in Java, C#, or C++
  • Android development experience (strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with the principles of REST
  • Strong understanding of the intricacies of the iOS and Android platforms
  • Ability and desire to excel in a small, fast-paced, startup environment

Partner Account Manager

Parking Panda is seeking someone with a passion for managing and strengthening relationships with and revolutionizing the way parking is done at our nationwide partners, including some of the largest event, music, and sports venues across the country, as well as professional sports team partners (NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, etc.) and other popular downtown attractions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with existing partners, including professional sports leagues and teams, national and local events, and various event & music venues
  • Identify, present and implement additional marketing strategies and promotions particular to each partner team, event and/or venue to maximize revenue and customer/fan experience
  • Provide responsive support to partners as necessary
  • Identify, research, and develop new partnership prospects
  • Leverage existing partners to deepen/strengthen existing relationships and obtain additional partners through referrals

Requirements

  • 2+ years business development or account management strongly preferred
  • Expert copywriting, organization, communication and prioritization skills
  • Self-starter with positive attitude and ability to think outside the box
  • Eye for web design and working knowledge of HTML/CSS/Photoshop a plus
