Summer Concerts in NYC!

Summer in New York City is a wonderful time of year. You want to be outside and enjoy everything that the city has to offer and this certainly includes outdoor concerts!

Even though it is one of the world's largest cities, NYC has a number of great outdoor venues to host top-notch musical performances. We have identified a number of great concerts this summer that we do not want you to miss. 


This year is the 30th anniversary of SummerStage and they have a huge line up planned for the summer. SummerStage is run by the City Parks Foundation, has concerts running from May through September covering various genres of music and hitting up all 5 boroughs. Here are a few of the big concerts remaining this summer.

August 1st
Dr. John and the Nite Trippers + Amy Helm
Central Park; 3pm - FREE Admission

August 5th
Father John Misty + Angel Olsen + Summer Moon
Central Park; 6pm - Benefit Show

August 8th
Quantic + Gilles Peterson + Afrika Bambaataa
Central Park; 6pm - FREE Admission

August 9th
INVINCIBLE: Michael Jackson Tribute + Marika Hughes & Bottom Heavy
East River Park; 4pm - FREE Admission

Celebrate Brooklyn

Celebrate Brooklyn is an annual series of great outdoor concerts. It doesn't spread across NYC like SummerStage, but it does celebrate everything that is great about Brooklyn and hosts it's concerts at the beautiful Prospect Park. Concerts are happening until August 12th and while most are FREE, there are a few benefit concerts being held as well.

August 4th
Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros

August 12th
Willie Nelson & Family and Old Crow Medicine Show
