Who doesn't love doing fun things for free? Well Baltimore surely provides a lot of great activities for you to participate in this May without having to spend any dough.
With a wide array of activities taking place throughout Charm City every day, it will be pretty easy to find something fun to do without opening your wallet. Here are a few different activities for you to enjoy this May!
Free Outdoor Live Music
WTMD is proud to once again host their First Thursdays Concerts in the Park. Starting in May, the first Thursday of every month will be celebrated with a free concert held at Canton Waterfront.
Each month different bands will take the stage and rock the park. Music begins at 6:30pm and lasts until 10pm. Admission is FREE! They also ask that you do not bring in outside alcohol, as Brewer's Art will be selling alcohol on site.
Parking can be a hassle, so be sure to reserve your parking space online!
Baltimore Farmers Markets
Baltimore is a city with some of the best farmers markets around. Hundreds of vendors gather at various locations throughout the city, allowing customers to purchase fresh produce and sample their favorite types of food. Even if you don't buy anything, it's still a great way to get outside to enjoy a nice walk and do some "tent" shopping!
The Baltimore's Farmers' Market takes place every Sunday morning from 7am until 12pm. They are located in the downtown area, underneath I-83. Specifically this market is located at Holliday and Saratoga Street. Get your parking here.
The Fell's Point Farmers Market is also a great opportunity to get outside and enjoy the city for a few hours. This markets runs every Saturday morning from 7:30am - 12:30pm and is located at the corner of S. Broadway and Thames Street. Parking in Fells is scarce, so we encourage you to reserve your space ahead of time.
The Gathering Food Truck Rally
As part of their Bmore Strong event being held on May 8th and May 9th, Power Plant Live will be hosting The Gathering Food Truck Rally. This event will be on Friday, May 8th at 5pm - 10pm.
There will be live music and plenty of different food trucks for everyone to sample. Admission is FREE although food and beverages are not. For more information about The Gathering Food Truck Rally, be sure to check this out.

2nd Annual Pre-Preakness Party
If horse racing is your thing, then you do not want to miss the 2nd Annual Pre-Preakness Party! This event will be held on Wednesday, May 13th at 7pm. Fans will gather at Mt. Washington Tavern, located at 5700 Newbury St., Baltimore, MD 21209, for a night of Preakness excitement.
Admission to the party is FREE! Guests will have the opportunity to meet the jockeys and possibly win Black Eyed Susan tickets, Preakness Stakes tickets and a Belmont Stakes package.
