The Chicago Jazz Festival is coming to Millennium Park for a holiday weekend full of great music, food and fun! Any Jazz lover in the Chicago area needs to be here.
Since 1979 the Chicago Jazz Festival
has been showcasing jazz talents of all levels, looking to educate and inspire guests of all ages. They do this by offering a free festival every Labor Day Weekend with a wide array of top-notch performances.
Guests can expect to see Fred Hersch, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Muhal Richard Abram's Experimental Band. In addition to the music there will be numerous vendors on hand, dishing out delicious food and drinks all weekend long!
When is the Chicago Jazz Festival?
The festival will be held over 4 days; Thursday, September 3rd - Sunday, September 6th.
On Thursday there will be an event at the Chicago Cultural Center (12pm-4:30pm) and will then roll next door to Millennium Park for a few performances (6:30pm-9pm).
The remainder of the weekend, Friday - Sunday, will be held at Millennium Park with performances being held from 12pm-9:30pm daily.
Where is the Chicago Jazz Festival?
The Chicago Jazz Festival will mainly be held in Millennium Park
with performances taking place at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, located at 201 E. Randolph St., Chicago, IL 60601.
There will be an opening performance on Thursday held across the street at the Chicago Cultural Center, which is located at 78 E. Washington St., Chicago, IL 60602.
