Consol Energy Center Parking Guide

The Consol Energy Center is one of Pittsburgh’s most popular venues for sports and concert events.  It is home to the Pittsburgh Penguins and has hosted artists like George Strait, Cher, and Katy Perry.  The arena was completed in 2010 and is the first LEED Certified arena in the NHL.  It can hold over 19,000 people and is located in central Pittsburgh.  All of this can make finding parking difficult.  Luckily, Parking Panda is here to help.  The last thing you want to do when you’re trying to get somewhere is to drive around in circles searching for parking.  With Parking Panda, you can reserve parking ahead of time and erase time and stress from your experience! On-Street Parking in Pittsburgh

There are approximately 8,500 metered spaces and lots in Pittsburgh.  Parking meters are in operation Monday-Saturday, from 8 am - 6pm.  Parking lots are in operation Monday-Saturday, from 8 am - 10 pm.  The parking meter rates change based on when and where you are parking.  The meters cost $.50 to $3.00 per hour.  Here is a list of the parking zones in Pittsburgh and what the meter rates are.  Pittsburgh uses parking meters that require you to input your license plate number into the meter.  You do not need a receipt.  Instead, the parking kiosk records your license plate to keep track of whether or not your car has paid for parking.  These kiosks accept coins and credit/debit cards.  For more information about the Pay-by-Licence-Plate meters, please click here.  All parking meters have time limits ranging from 15 minutes to 10 hours.  For more information, please visit the Pittsburgh Parking website.

Consol Energy Center-Owned Parking

The arena owns 5 parking lots and one garage for public use.  Here is a map of the arena-owned lots.  Event rates change and you can email for specific event parking rates.  The day time rates are as followed:

The event rates are generally significantly higher than the daily rates.  The lots fill up fast and so it is a good idea to reserve parking ahead of time.
