REJOICE! Connected-car parking made easy is here, and will be part of a demonstration through the SAP Vehicles Network at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
When used together with SAP® Vehicles Network running on SAP HANA® Cloud Platform for the Internet of Things, Parking Panda will showcase how drivers can find and book prepaid parking as well as close off-street parking gates with the car serving as a mobile wallet or app.
Connected cars accessing this cloud-sourced data will equip drivers with quicker travel decisioning as they search, pay, and access available parking options and prices in-dash.

“We are working with SAP to build the parking infrastructure and technology needed to make in-dash parking easy and stress-free for drivers," said Parking Panda Co-Founder and CEO Nick Miller. “Just imagine - a user can park in garage and pay with a mobile vehicle wallet based on length of time there. Completely seamless. Plus a user can book while on the go, and navigate—all in the car’s dash. We’re excited to lay the groundwork for a smarter, more streamlined parking solution for cars running on the SAP Vehicles Network.”
Once a reservation is made, parking passes will be easily accessible in-dash. The SAP Vehicles Network will integrate with Parking Panda’s online reservations platform to ensure that sufficient space is set aside for pre-reserved connected-car customers so that parking is available, even if the lot otherwise fills up.
Parking Panda is free and available on the go with our iOS, Android, and Windows apps.
