The Barclays Center in Brooklyn is a very popular sports and entertainment venue. It is brand new, opening just 2 years ago. It is home to Brooklyn Nets and, beginning in 2015, the New York Islanders. It has also hosted The Avett Brothers, Jay Z, The Black Keys, and Katy Perry. The area can hold over 20,000 people and is located in the center of Brooklyn. Parking is very, very, hard to find. Luckily Parking Panda is here to help. Warning ~ Be sure to follow all of the regulations and instructions posted on the streets by the NYC Department of Transportation. The city will ticket, tow and boot vehicles like no one else. Park at least 15 ft away from fire hydrants or you could get a $115 ticket!
Metered parking rates range from $1.00 to $3.50 depending on where you are in the city. Commercial vehicles and Charter buses have different rates. For more information, check out the NYC DOT Website. All NYC meters accept quarters and NYC Parking Cards. Select meters accept credit cards.
New York also has a new parking system called Park Smart, which aims to improve the efficiency of parking in the city. Park Smart regulates prices of various parking spaces to meet demonstrated parking needs. The price per hour is higher at the busiest times and goes down as need for parking decreases. The goal is to reduce pollution and congestion and increase parking space availability. These rates also differ based on neighborhood. Park Smart meters accepts quarters and NYC Parking Cards. All Park Smart meters have the Park Smart logo.
New York City Parking Cards

Barclays Center-Owned Parking
The Barclays Center parking is very limited. They do have some lots but parking gets taken up very quickly and if you show up, even hours before your event, you will not be guaranteed parking. Reserving in advance or taking public transportation is STRONGLY advised.

This location is a 5-10 walk away from the Barclays Center. It is a 24/7, all indoor, valet parking garage. It features onsite staff and public restrooms. This is our closest location to the Barclays Center.
403 Lafayette Ave
This location is a 15-20 minute walk from the Barclays Center. It is also located less than 5 minutes from the Classon Ave subway stop in the G line. Take the G line towards Church Street and get off at the Fulton Street stop. From here, you are 5-10 minutes away from the arena. It is handicap accessible and is a 24/7, overnight, covered parking garage.
267 6th Street
This location is a 15 minute walk away from the Barclays Center. It is also less than 5 minutes away from the Union Street R line subway stop. Take the subway towards Forest Hills-71st St and get off at Atlantic Ave-Barclays Ctr. This garage is open 24/7 and has an overnight parking option. It is handicap accessible and has onsite staff.
235 Gold Street
This location is a 20 minute walk away from the Barclays Center. It is less that 10 minutes away from Dekalb Ave subway stop. You can take the B line towards Brighton Beach and get off at the Atlantic Ave-Barclays Ctr. stop. The Barclays Center is about 2 minutes away. This lot is a handicap accessible, 24/7, valet lot. It has public restrooms and onsite staff.
