The annual Philadelphia Marathon will bring over 30,000 runners to the heart of Philadelphia. Known as the last 100% city-owned marathon in the US, the Philadelphia Marathon is considered one of the best marathons in the nation, featuring a relatively-flat course and a number of designated cheer-zones for thousands of fans. The Philadelphia Marathon Health & Fitness Expo is a great chance for any runner to check out the latest in the world of running and fitness. If you're a runner of the Philadelphia Marathon, you must pick up your runner's packet at the expo. Be sure to check out the expo on Friday or Saturday at the Philadelphia Convention Center.
Two-day passes are available. If you need parking for less than the full hours of the expo, adjust the calendar to fit your schedule and the price will update automatically.
Exhibitors include American Cancer Society, National Running Center, Baltimore Running Festival, GORE-TEX Running Wear, and more!
Starting at 6:57 AM with the Wheelchairs/Handcycles participants, the 2015 GORE-TEX Philadelphia Marathon will begin. Check out the official Race-day Guide here. Start and Finish Lines are located near Logan Circle at the ____. Pre-race gear check and stretching will be held at Eakins Oval.
There is a designated family meeting area a tthe Aviator Park, adjacent ot the Franklin Institute. Medical officials will be available at Kelly Drive Medical Markers - please be sure to write your name, emergency contact, and allergies/health conditions on the back of your bib before the start of the race.
Important Safety Information: Entrance to the race opens at 5 AM. Everyone will be screened at each entry point. Please arrive early with your bib fastened correctly and fully visible. There are a number of entry points (see Page 40), plan ahead of time and arrive early.

The following road closures have been shared by the GORE-TEX Philadelphia Marathon:
Friday, November 20th
The inner drives of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway will be closed, from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., on Friday, November 20. At3:30 p.m., the westbound lanes will be opened for the afternoon rush hour. At 6:30 p.m., the inner lanes of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway will be closed continuously, from 6:30 p.m. on Friday, November 20 through the completion of Marathon Weekend on Sunday, November 22, and will reopen on Sunday, November 22 at 6 p.m.
Saturday, November 21st
Street closures will be in effect for the Rothman Institute 8K and Kids Fun Run on Saturday, from 4 a.m. until 2 p.m., along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, between 18th to 25th streets, and also on Martin Luther King Drive. Signage labeled “no parking” will be posted in the Parkway area, and elsewhere, along the race course in advance. On Saturday, the vicinity near 18th Street and the Parkway, and the Logan Circle area will be closed to vehicular traffic until 11 a.m.
Sunday, November 22
For the Half and Full Marathons, due to enhanced security, City of Philadelphia “no-parking” regulations will be enforced strictly and all vehicles on the race route will be towed, beginning at 2 a.m. on Sunday. In addition, on Sunday, the Parkway, from 18th to 25th streets, will be closed, from 3 a.m. to 4 p.m. Other streets along the race course will reopen as runners pass by and the streets are cleaned.

East of Center City (Miles 1-6)
Mile 1 Cheer Zone (16th & Arch Streets @ Capriccio at Cafe Cret) - Be sure to arrive early to view the earliest leg of the marathon. You'll be part of the early morning cheer crew as the runners run by from 6:55 AM to 7:40 AM. Cafe Cret will be open for coffee and breakfast items.
Best parking option for the Mile 1 Cheer Zone include the Love Park garage at 1500 Arch St ($11) and the Convention Center Parking Facility at 1324 Arch St ($15). Please note that the Convention Center Parking Facility is directly on the marathon course and will not be accessible from shortly before the race to 2 PM.

Mile 1.5 Cheer Zone (10th & Arch Streets) at Friendship Gate in Chinatown - Similar to the Mile 1 Cheer zone, we recommend the Love Park Garage or the Convention Center Parking Facility. Cheer on the runners while sipping on bubble tea!
Mile 2.2 Cheer Zone (Columbus Boulevard & Race Streets) - from 7-8 AM, gather by the new Fringe Arts Building and enjoy the beautiful view of the Ben Franklin Bridge while cheering on the marathoners. Situated in the Old Town neighborhood, this cheer zone offers a chance to view the Delaware River.
We recommend the 304 Race Street garage ($20) or the Front & Market Street Lot ($17). If you're coming in from the north side of the marathon route, 304 Race Street will be easier to access.
Mile 4.5 Cheer Zone (2nd Street & South Streets) - At Bridget Foy's, participants will be running by from 7:05 - 8:30 AM. This area offers a number of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. See the race and spend the day at boutiques, restaurants, and more!
The best garage to book in this area is the 2nd & Lombard garage ($11). This garage is inside of the Philadelphia Marathon route. Be sure to arrive well before 7 AM before the streets are closed.
Mile 5.1 Cheer Zone (6th & Walnut Streets) - This is a great cheer area as just one block away is the historic LIberty Bell and Independence Hall. Spend the morning with the marathoners from 7:05 until 8:40 AM and then walk around Historic Philadelphia!
A valet parking option at the Hopkinson House (604 S Washington Square) will ensure easy drop-off and pick-up. Your $24 reservation for the marathon will guarantee all-day parking.
Mile 6 Cheer Zone (Broad & Chestnut) - This cheer zone is located at the heart of Center City, near City Hall and Prince Music Theater. Enjoy easy access to Rittenhouse Square, Washington Square Park, and more! A special guest, the Wally the Goose from WaWa will be at this cheer zone.
As the center of the first half of the race, there are many parking options to choose from. We recommend the convenient scanner-enabled Love Park Garage ($15), or the valet parking option at 1305 Walnut Street ($10).
University City/West Philadelphia (Miles 7-11.1)
Mile 7 Cheer Zone (Chestnut Square at 32nd & Chestnut Streets) - Enjoy everything that University City has to offer at this cheer zone. Visit the Shops at Chestnut Square and walk around Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania campuses.
Mile 7.5 Cheer Zone (34th St & Chestnut St) - just 0.5 mi past the Mile 7 Cheer Zone at Chestnut Square, the 7.5 Mile cheer zone will be situated in the heart of Drexel University at the Domus building.
For the University City/West Philadelphia viewing areas, we recommend the 31st & Market garage ($11.50). It will guarantee you all-day parking with easy access to 30th Street Station, Drexel University, and UPenn.
