2015-16 Washington Capitals Home Opener

The Washington Capitals will kick off the new season at home tomorrow, Saturday, October 10th. Facing the New Jersey Devils, the Caps will be lead by the veteran captain, Alex Ovechkin, and a newcomer, T.J. Oshie! Parking Panda is excited for what many are expecting to be a banner year for the Washington Capitals.

During the off-season after a disappointing run for the 2015 Stanley Cup, the Washington Caps acquired the superstar, T.J. Oshie. Although Nicklas Backstrom is out with an injury, this team, lead by Alex Ovechhkin, is expected to have a successful 2015-16 season.

The first home game will be this Saturday, October 10th at 7 PM. Be sure to arrive early and decked out in red! Remember all bags will be searched at entrance. Although there are no clear-bag rules like the NFL, each patron is allowed one bag that must be smaller than 13 inches long, 6 inches wide and 9.5 inches tall. Instead of hand-held metal detectors, walk-through metal detectors will be enforced. Similar to airport-style detectors, this implementation will allow faster entry.

Verizon Center

The Washington Caps call the Verizon Center, home for all home games. The state of the art arena allows thousands of fans to gather and cheer on the team every week! One of the best part about the Verizon Center is that its building is part of the Gallery Place building where there is a multi-level underground garage. That means you don't even have to leave the building after parking your car!

You can purchase Official Washington Capitals Parking at the Verizon Center through Parking Panda. Over 20+ garages and lots are available within very easy walking distance. Remember, many of the home games, including the home opener, will result in sold-out garages! Plan ahead of time and guarantee yourself a space by booking ahead of time:
